Let us know your thoughts on the new FFA New Horizons online.
Have you been following the Help Grow Your Soup campaign, sponsored by Campbell’s Soup and FFA? If not, it’s time to learn all about this great cause and PHENOMENAL publicity for the FFA program.
You can learn all about the program here, but here are a few of my favorite elements of the program.
Barn Restoration: Over the past year, many FFA members and local volunteers have helped Campbell’s restore five barns across the United States.
Free Tomato Seeds For You: If you purchase a can of any Campbell’s condensed soup, you can go to the website and enter the code found on the bottom of the can. They will send you free tomato seeds!
Free Tomato Seeds For FFA: If you go to the website and click on the tomato plant daily, your clicks will contribute toward free tomato seeds to be donated to FFA chapters. For every click, Campbell’s will donate 50 tomato seeds to an FFA chapter. The goal is to give away 22.5 million seeds!
Tips for Gardening: I also like the section that gives you suggestions on growing your own plants. I’ll be using these tips in my own garden this spring.
Community Events: Throughout this month, gardens will be planted in five cities. Along with a group called Urban Farming, Campbell’s is partnering with FFA chapters that have PALS programs to plant gardens in New York City, Atlanta, Camden, Chicago and Detroit.
Have any of you participated in the Help Grow Your Soup campaign? Comment below and tell us about your experiences! Or, head over to FFA Nation and talk about it on the Discussions board (you’ll need to sign up for a profile if you haven’t joined yet!).
Happy spring (and gardening season) everyone!
