Starting a Sheep SAE?

January 15, 2008

Starting a Sheep SAE?

Here’s a resource for those of you interested in starting a sheep production supervised agricultural experience program.

The American Polypay Sheep Association is giving away a starter flock of three registered Polypay ewes at its national sale in March. Any FFA or 4-H member is eligible to apply, and in addition to the three ewes, the winner will also receive a $100 buying credit toward building his or her flock. The certificate can be redeemed during the National Polypay Sale.

To learn more about the program (or about the Polypay breed), visit www.polypay.org.  You can also contact Gordon Sammons at for an entry form.

This is a great way to start your sheep flock! Take advantage of this opportunity, or tell others who might be interested!
