What a Week!

March 03, 2008

What a Week!

The stories from National FFA Week keep rolling in. I’ll be adding stories I receive from FFA chapters across the country, so tune in for some neat ideas. Here’s the first: a report from the Tri-Valley FFA chapter in Grahamsville, N.Y.

The Tri-Valley FFA ended our celebration of National FFA Week with Blue and Gold Blast day, dressing up in FFA shirts and anything else blue and gold members could put on! Each day throughout the week, members took part in different themed days and different events, getting not only FFA members involved but also the entire school community.

Wednesday was deemed “Red in Remembrance” day for past FFA member Catherine Harth. Members, students, and community residents lined up to give blood at an American Cross Red Blood drive held at the school. 54 people attempted to give blood with 41 usable pints collected. Members of the chapter also competed for the title of “The Most FFA Spirited.” The week ended with a party that served as congratulations for past accomplishments and good luck for upcoming career development events!
