Write to Win

If you are interested in writing radio jingles, creating eye-catching print advertisements or developing public relations campaigns, then your FFA chapter should enter Garst Seed Co.’s Commercial Competition. The program is open to all chapters, and winning entries can earn up to $1,250 in cash prizes.

This year’s competition theme is “Technologies of the Future.” Chapters will create a logo, slogan and brand a new seed product for a print, radio or television advertisement or public relations campaign.

Games
FFA Fun

Test your corduroy know-how with the brand-new FFA trivia game! Two versions of the game each contain 108 different questions about FFA facts, history, programs and more.

Up to 30 people can play at one time, and questions come in three forms – Know It, Think About It and Do It. Know It questions ask more “basic” questions, but be ready to analyze, act and more with the Think About It and Do It cards.

The product development is funded in part by Pfizer Animal Health as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.

TV
The Race Is On

The Sept. 3 episode of FFA Today! on RFD-TV will feature agricultural mechanics careers and a feature on Kody Swanson, a former FFA member and successful race car driver from California.

The Chapters in Action segment travels to New York for some “ag in the city” and On the Job will focus on the fiber industry.

Then, don’t forget to tune in Oct. 24-27 for live coverage of the 80th National FFA Convention.
