My name is Cheyenne Hefley, currently I am 16 and attend Liberty High School in California. I used to live down in Romoland, California, but moved due to my father getting a job in the central valley. While down in Romoland I did Junior Rodeo for 6 years, competing in Ribbon Roping, Barrels, Pole Bending, and Goat Tying. Once I moved I never really got back into Rodeo due to there being no association to join. Though I did find something good to replace it, FFA. At first I was unsure about the program when I was a Freshman, but when I received the position as Reporter my views changed. Ever since then I have fought hard against budget cuts, bad teachers, and a poor officer team to keep the FFA at my school. I am now the Vice President of my chapter and in my Junior year, but sadly my FFA is on the chopping block again and yet another bad teacher. I shall continue to fight for my chapter to stay, but it seems a dim chance. Other than the FFA I have participated in CSF, Teen Advisory Group, and much more. I am very academic oriented and have kept straight A's until my Junior year since I have an A.P. class, but I have a 4.17 GPA and plan on attending UC San Diego or UC Monterey majoring in Marine Biology.
